Small Arms - Williamson's of New York, Factory Engraved breech loading Derringer pistol, slightly post-Civil War era, manufactured approximately 1867, .38 caliber rim fire with additional original cap and ball adapter, steel trigger with florally engraved gold-plated brass trigger guard, florally engraved gold-plated brass receiver, checkered walnut stock/grips, 2.5 inch slide opening barrel with hand engraved details and an arrow pointing to the fiery end, stamped on side "WILLIAMSON'S PAT. OCT.2.1866, NEW YORK," s#955 stamped on barrel and receiver.
CONDITION:
Good action; fine-plus overall cosmetic condition, rifled bore with light pitting, fine barrel with almost complete loss of finish, engraving is still strong and crisp in appearance, numerous small dings on wood handle with small crack near grip strap, finish loss to gold-plated receiver where brass is showing through; trigger retains original finish with light oxide visible.
